Fees and charges will also vary, and you’ll usually need to have the equivalent qualification of Australian Year 10, 11 or 12. Some VET courses have English language, subject or work experience prerequisites. So it’s best to check the intake dates, fees and entry requirements with individual VET colleges. If you’ve always dreamed of going to university, we can help you achieve that dream! Western Australia has private and government institutions that offer flexible, fully-integrated pathways to university. All providers offer customised bridging courses and provide full support services to help you with your university application.
If you haven’t made up your mind yet, or would like to keep your options open, you can complete a general Foundation course that doesn’t restrict your choice of degree or university. This option is especially good for younger students who haven’t chosen a career yet. Some Western Australian universities offer foundation studies on-campus, which means you can experience real university life and use facilities such as libraries, computer laboratories, health and housing services, sports centres and student clubs. |

Our vocational and pathway colleges |
Hi my name is Laksamana Udayana.
I’m from Denpasar in Indonesia and I’m currently studying marketing in Perth, Western Australia.
My dad had always wanted for me to have an international education.
I have travelled a lot through Asia, America and Australia with my family and we found that Perth was the most suitable place for me.
It has very good quality institutions, it’s a very comfortable place to live and it’s close to Indonesia.
I didn’t find it hard at all to settle in. Perth is very relaxing and not too crowded.
The people are friendly and always willing to help.

Each VET college will have varying intake dates throughout the year, with the most common commencements being in February, April, July and October.
If you know which subject you’d like to study, or have already chosen your university, then you can take a subject-specific Certificate or Diploma course at a pathway college that’s affiliated with your chosen university. When you’ve finished your course, you’re guaranteed entry into a first or second-year undergraduate degree program at that university.
